"There I was, experiencing another agonizing migraine! They were coming almost daily now since deciding on a career change and going back to school in the medical field. I tried everything from Yoga to very expensive prescription drugs. Then someone had advised trying acupuncture. From the information I had gathered, I had learned not all acupuncturist’s methods are created equal and are beneficial. I just did not have the funds to try to find the one that was. However, luck was on my side when an Aunt visiting from Alaska, and seeing first hand my migraine pain, started making phone calls and asking the right questions. She felt then that Doug Womack was the one I should see. Through my skepticism, yet current frustration, I decided to make an appointment. Upon further investigation, I learned Doug has a unique gift of dealing with and solving very difficult cases. I quickly became a firm believer, so I gave him a bigger quest to conquer. I am 32 and have been diagnosed with uterine fibroids since age 24, which is almost unheard of at that age. Medical doctors put me on a Depo-provera shot for over 6 years, which was to help keep the fibroids from growing and multiplying and to help manage the pain. It also came with consequences, such as bone loss. In the early years, they also had me on Loritab, just to help me get through the day! Because my symptoms had gotten worse they were now recommending surgery, which at this time in my life was just not an option. In the past, for severe hip pain, the medical doctors would use cortisone shots. I also went to many chiropractors. I finally gave up and just dealt with the pain. Not anymore! Both my parents are now seeing Doug. My Dad for years of back pain and Type 2 Diabetes, and my Mom for arthritis - he is now reversing the damage in her fingers.
