Migraine Headaches

Here is my testimonial.

I have suffered from migraines for 30 years, chronic migraines for the last ten.  After seeing doctors, neurologists, naturopaths, and many hours spent researching and reading, I finally made an appointment with Doug for my first try at acupuncture.  I will admit I was initially very skeptical but at my family's urging, made the appointment, and followed Doug's regimen.  It's now been a year since that first appointment and it's the best I've felt in years.  For me, it hasn't been a one time fix, but if I start to get into a pattern of frequent headaches, I pay Doug a visit and everything is back on track.  If you're a migraine sufferer and are reading this, I can't urge you strongly enough to call Doug at Montana Acupuncture Assc.  and get help.  I would never have believed it if I had never tried it.  I have my life back! - Rita Laird

Stroke and Recovery

My husband has been seeing Doug for stroke recovery since about 2 months after his stroke.  We have both been amazed at the progress we've seen immediately following treatments and in long term recovery.  He looks forward to his appointments saying they "make him feel better and are very relaxing."  My husband will often remark after treatment about feeling an increase in blood flow in the areas that Doug has worked on.  In addition to increased circulation, we have witnessed a decrease in edema and pain, an increase of muscle function and movement, and an increase in stamina and overall alertness.  Doug is a kind and caring individual and has a real passion for what he does.  -- Judy Douglas

Foot Pain 

Over the past 7 months I've had pain in my foot that was so severe that I often times felt like vomiting.  I had surgery on my right foot and it is obvious that it did not work.  The doctor sent me to physical therapy which seemed to help just a little but the treatments (Astym treatments) were quite painful in themselves and I still had terrific pain.  Nothing he prescribed seemed to help.  Worried that if I went to another Doctor it might mean more surgery, and after all the pain and agony from the September 9, 2010 surgery it was not an option for me.  A friend let me know that she was seeing Doug Womack; she could see my pain and said it would be worth my while to go see him for my foot.  I took her advice and to my amazement after 2 treatments the pain started to diminish.  After 6 treatments my pain is GONE.  Bless my friend Kathy and bless Doug Womack.  I was scared to go have acupuncture but believe me I won't feel that way again.  Special thanks to an expert in acupuncture!!!

Family Healing

After getting her first acupuncture treatment with Doug, my 12 year old daughter (who is terrified of needles and has never had acupuncture) said "This is the first time in 2 years that I have not been in constant pain.  She has been coming back and getting better on many levels and looks forward to her appointments.  I bring all three of my children to Doug for high fevers, earaches to sprains, food allergies and tennis elbow.  I started seeking Doug because I had a knot in my shoulder so painful and debilitating that I could not even do the dishes.  After several treatments and occasional maintenance sessions, I now play tennis 2-3 times a week, regularly ride my horse and go to kickboxing.  Thank you, Doug, for fixing my shoulder and giving me all my fun activities back! -- Regan Schultz

 Back, Hip, Shoulder Pain

I went to Doug because I was still having a lot of low back pain after my corrective back surgery, and the surgeons said there was nothing more they could do. In addition, the incision site on my back had not healed 6 months after surgery. Within a week of Doug’s treatment, the incision healed over, and my back pain was much reduced.

My right leg suffered some nerve damage from my back condition. I had tried pain shots in my hip and back from traditional medicine, but the shots didn’t help. The only alternative offered by western medicine was more surgery. I cam to Doug for treatment instead. The treatments cleared up the symptoms in my leg so I could begin to exercise and walk again.

Most recently, Doug has been treating my shoulder. I had a torn rotator cuff and had surgery some years before. I had reached the point that I could not raise my arm more than a few inches above my waist, and my hand had lost its strength to the point that I could not drive. I had tried traditional medicine by having a shot of cortisone, but after two months, this had only helped a little. After two weeks of treatment from Doug, I had regained full use of my arm and hand.

I would recommend Doug to anyone. He uses his knowledge of Chinese acupuncture and herbs to tailor his treatment to compliment whatever Western medicine and treatment I am using. I’m no spring chicken (85 years so far), and I’m not a chicken when it comes to acupuncture! I have confidence that Doug’s treatments can correct things that confound traditional medicine. Doug takes the time to understand what is happening, and Chinese medicine has proven to be a painless alternative that works for me!
